DJ, Diplo, is facing a revenge porn civil lawsuit by an alleged victim who refuses to reveal her identity.

The alleged victim, who launched the lawsuit under the name Jane Doe, is now facing a ruling made by Judge Mónica Ramírez Almadani in Los Angeles that requires her to reveal her identity if she wants to continue to pursue the civil lawsuit.

Jane Doe had claimed in her lawsuit that she and the DJ had a pervious consensual sexual relationship between 2016 and 2023. She also stated that she had permitted him to record their sexual activities, and has since accused Diplo of sharing the recordings via social media platform, Snapchat.

Diplo has denied the accusations, with his lawyers stating that the DJ ‘cannot adequately confront his accuser without knowing her identity.’

Anonymity may only be waived in ‘clear-cut, high-risk situations’. The Judge in this case stated that ‘there is a prevailing public interest in open judicial proceeding’ in this situation, despite the understanding that the plaintiff could face ‘some public scrutiny’ by coming forward and revealing her identity.
